Rowhaus is a boutique 30-unit apartment offering steps away from all the best that Uptown Oakland has to offer. Designed for active and transit-oriented urban dwellers, the property offers primarily studio and junior one-bedroom units and features ample bicycle parking onsite.

Community Builder

Embracing history.

Partnering with the long time owner of the site, Signature retained the property's auto row roots by creating space in the new building for the existing auto showroom on the ground floor, while at the same time providing 30 units of much-needed housing on the five new floors above above.

The building is surrounded by existing structures with long-time community businesses. Conditions in the field during construction required that the building be reconfigured to pull back from those neighbors to increase privacy.

Creating peaceful places for the community.

Transforming history into housing.

A small parcel within the growing mosaic of mixed-use properties on Oakland's historic auto row, Rowhaus contributes to the build out of the Broadway Valdez District Specific Plan area which is ushering in a new generation of residents and businesses.

Rowhaus will keep Oakland’s tax base through auto sales while also adding space for new and current residents to gather and live. In this way the project both maintains and adds to Oakland’s diversity of old and new.
